1. "How Smart are Animals" video with writing reflection.
  • Write about which animals you think are the smartest.
  • What does it mean to be "smart"?
  • Summarize the order of events in the video
2. Make a chart to rate what animals are the smartest in your opinion.
  • You could give them a score between 1-10
  • Pick 6-8 animals and post your chart on your blog
3. Reading and response - should be posted on your blog

Jack - Work on powerpoint of invention of the Radio
Trae - Help Jack (it is part of your project also) and then look up how to construct a receiver (we have many of the parts!)
William - saw grooves for secondary coil, place secondary coil, practice using TeslaMap
Anastasia - Work on pluses and minuses for your powerpoint on aquarium creatures
Hanna and Ellee - make more HeHes

3. Phylums - Know the phylums - study and pass this test : http://quizlet.com/2837889/animal-phylums-flash-cards/ -- If you pass this quiz, you can go down to the beach today or tomorrow to look for animal types

4. Individual goals:
William - Learn what a capacitor does and what they are used for. Also, find directions on how to make one and how they're made.
Jack and Trae - Find out why your electromagnet did not work. Fix the problem and prove that it can work.
Ellee - Finish your record player project - take metric system test (emailed to you)
Hanna - Continue to build your website
Anastasia - Finish your list of suggestions and do a survey (paper or computer) to the students at OH and what they think. Put a graph on your blog.

4. Afternoon -
  • Trae and Jack - electromagnetic motor (take pictures of each of your steps) - geospy when you are done and Timez Attack
  • Elle and Hanna - geospy and work on your business (this must be blogged to count)
  • Anastasia - Pick your top 3 choices for the aquarium and make a "care sheet" about them - you list what you need to do to take care of them - 0r - geospy and timez attack
  • William - prepare for your tesla coil parts test by studying. Help Cale and Mason on primary or secondary coils as needed. Blog about what you have learned (pictures, video etc) - also, use your circuit board to show Cale and Mason the difference between a parallel circuit and series circuit

2. Email composition to school and send today

3. Inquiry Math - Build a cage or habitat for any animal of your choice (pretend or real). Buy your building supplies (list price), measure area and make it happen. Let's see how amazing they turn out. Have fun

4. Talk about the weather last night or today. Post your thoughts on Edmodo (make sure your writing is good quality, as it is public)
