2. Skype Wisconsin 9:15 - pick one weather story to read - give our weather report for the day - share information on sprites

3. Inquiry Math - Which is worse, a hurricane or tornado. Use must use statistics in your explanation. More statistics=stronger argument. You will argue against the HS students at 11:45.

• Present your information to each other and see how strong your arguments are
• Share this information with each other so you can have a discussion with whole school at 11:45

What the heck is that!

1. Do these 3 new weather vocabulary words:

• high pressure (explain what it means, what's the weather like)
• Low pressure (explain what it means, what's the weather like)
• sprite (now that's a weather word most people don't know!)

6. Write down your questions you would like to know about how others go to school in other countries - (maybe 3-4 questions depending on what you want to know)

Monday March 21

1. What does it mean vocabulary warm-up. Figure out what these words mean. You can use pictures, words, videos or whatever it takes. Post on your blogger and pick one person to post on Edmodo

• (Ellee and Trae) Explain how weather can be dangerous. Use citations in your writing (make parentheses and put the link to the website after you have used the information all the way)
• (Jack, Anastasia, William and Hanna) 2 well written paragraphs same topic - each paragraph focused on one dangerous weather example) - We will do a lesson together

2. Inquiry Math - finish graph on estimation with grams, then make a new graph with actual measurements

Begin Weather Studies

1. Inquiry Math -

• Weather - Make a list of at 3 different types of weather instruments (find the weird ones if you dare)
• List what units they use (is it inches, centimeters, degrees, mph - things like that)
• Make a pretend (or actual) graph that uses one of those units that is realistic (for example, please don't make a graph that shows a bunch of wind speeds being 500 mph, unless you are doing wind speeds on Jupiter or something like that)

2. Geography - Most Extreme Map - find the locations of the most extreme places on earth for weather - your choice - super hot, super cold, super lightning, super dry - stuff like that)

3. Weather video - your choice

4. Destination Math - Continue lesson or tests - please set up lessons with me if they are needed - I prefer afternoons
